29.総門(Somon Gate)

この建物を総門といい、江戸時代後期に建立されたものとみられます。 門扉の上に大きな屋根、左右の脇柱の上に小さな屋根を設けた高麗門と呼ばれる形式です。 本願寺の境内ではなく、堀川通を挟んで御影堂門の向かいに建っていますが、門前町のある東でなく、本願寺のある西方向に向かって門扉が開くことからも本願寺の備えとして造られたことがわかります。 この門は過去に３回移築されており、堀川通を拡幅する際には京都市の要請によって現在の場所に移築されました。

29 總門 這棟建築稱為"總門"，建於江戶時代後期。正門上方設有很大的屋頂，左右柱子上方設有較小的屋頂，這是一種被稱為"高麗門"的建築風格。 總門不在本願寺境內，從位置來看設在了面向穿過崛川通的御影堂門前，從方向來看不是面向門前町的東方，而是面向本願寺的西方開啟。由此可見這座門是由本願寺所建造的。 這座門之前曾先後遷移過3次，後來應京都市政府擴建堀川通的需要，將總門遷移到了現在的位置。

29 소몬 이 건물을 소몬,우리말로 '총문'이라고 하여 에도시대 후기에 건립된 것으로 추정됩니다. 문 위에 큰 지붕은 좌우 기둥 위에 작은 지붕이 있는 고려문이라고 불리는 형식으로 만들어졌습니다. 혼간지의 경내가 아닌 고에이도문 맞은편에 호리카와 도오리를 사이에 두고세워졌는데 혼간지가 있는 서쪽 방향을 향해 문이 열리는 것으로 보아 혼간지를 위해 만들어졌음을 알 수 있습니다. 이 문은 과거에 3번 이축되었으며 호리카와 도오리를 넓힐 때 교토시의 요청으로 현재지로 이축되었습니다.

29 Somon (gate) Standing on the east side of Horikawa dori is the Somon. This Somon or main gate, is said to have been constructed in the late Edo period. To the sides of the main roof are smaller rooftops which is a traditional gate structure referred to as Koraimon. Although Horikawa dori runs between the somon and Hongwanji, seeing how the gate is situated with the monzencho located on the eastern side of the gate and how the doors to the gate open toward the temple complex, it can be determined that the gate was originally constructed as an entrance way into the Hongwanji complex. The Somon gate is said to have been moved several times before being positioned in its present location.

29 Portal Sômon Este portal se chama Sômon, o Portal Geral. Ele deve ter sido construído em mil setecentos e onze de acordo com os antigos documentos, como um dos projetos de restauração na ocasião do Ofício Memorial de quatrocentos e cinquenta anos de Shinran Shonin. O estilo adotado é chamado "Kôrai-mon", que é composto por três telhados. Um telhado principal grande sobre as portas e os dois telhados laterais. Este Portal fica na rua Shomen-dôri no encontro com a Avenida Horikawa-dôri, do lado oposto do Hongwanji. As portas estão abertas para a Horikawa-dôri, indicando que este Portal foi construído originalmente na entrada do patio do templo. Antigamente não ficava neste local, se deslocou três vezes e quando a Avenida Horikawa-dôri foi ampliada, o portal foi movido pela necessidade de restauração da cidade.
